Tucked into a serene, wooded hillside, this three-story mountain cabin offers the perfect blend of seclusion, comfort, and upscale charm—ideal for romantic getaways, family vacations, or peaceful remote work retreats. Bring the pup, we LOVE well behaved dogs!!

With 2,500 square feet of beautifully appointed living space, the home features three cozy bedrooms, two and a half baths, and expansive lake views from every room. Soaring wood-beamed ceilings, warm hardwood floors, and designer rustic finishes create a cozy, elevated atmosphere that invites you to slow down and breathe in the mountain air.

Step outside and enjoy direct access to Lake Glenville—one of the highest elevation lakes east of the Mississippi and widely considered the cleanest lake in the southeastern United States. Its crystal-clear waters are ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, or swimming right from your private shoreline.

Wake to the sound of birdsong and the gentle lapping of the lake. Hike through private wooded trails, unwind on the spacious decks with a glass of wine, and watch the sunset paint the sky over the water. In the evenings, cozy up by the fireplace or roast marshmallows under a blanket of stars at the firepit..

This home was designed for both comfort and connection to nature, featuring two expansive, living room-style decks that overlook the lake—perfect for dining, lounging, or simply soaking in the stunning views with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. One of the cozy bedrooms is a private downstairs suite, complete with its own living area and a charming bathroom featuring an antique clawfoot tub, creating a perfect retreat within a retreat.

Your private dock sits steps away, right on the edge of Lake Glenville, providing effortless access to the water for swimming, sunbathing, or launching one of the two included kayaks or the canoe. With over 500 feet of private shoreline, you can enjoy secluded dips in the lake, peaceful paddles through glassy coves, or simply relax as the water laps gently at the shore. It’s the perfect setup for adventure-filled days and quiet lakefront lounging alike.

Whether you're sipping coffee on the porch or exploring the scenic beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this luxurious lakefront cabin offers an unforgettable escape in one of Western North Carolina’s most sought-after destinations.

In 1965, when my parents were looking for a NC mountain summer property on Lake Glenville, they basically had the pick of the litter of the entire lake. And therefore, they got the best home in terms of location/close proximity to Cashiers and the massive expanse of big water and sunset views. Located on a peninsula jutting out into the lake, Moore Mountain’Inn sits on 5 totally secluded, private acres, with a long range, big water panoramic lake view and 500 feet of pristine shoreline, totally unheard of in today’s Lake Glenville homes. This property has the feel of being in a gorgeous mountainside isolated compound.  I know you’ll enjoy the new Moore Mountain’Inn, a labor of love, restored as a loving tribute to my parents who gave my brother and me an amazing lifetime of memories at this house. It is fitting that the home displays items like my dad’s antique tool collection and my mom’s antique furniture and glassware, along with many other original features and décor of the past 65 years.

The house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need…..dishes, glasses, cups, silverware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, coffee maker, towels, hand towels, wash clothes, sheets, linens, blow dryers, guest robes and the most comfortable beds with fluffy pillows, quality sheets and down comforters. Just bring your food, your clothes and your toiletries.

Moore Mountain’Inn sleeps 6 comfortably….6 in the 3 bedrooms, and possibly 4 more in the 2 private sitting areas, however the pullouts in the sitting areas would really be more for 2 children or 1 adult. If by chance more room is needed for larger family vacations, I also own Mom’s Place, a 3 bedroom/1.5 bath cabin right above Moore Mountain’Inn, which has a world class view of the lake. Mom's Place is a good house to use for larger guest parties, overflow family vacations or weddings, combined with Moore Mountain Inn, since they're located within a stone's throw.

I reserve the right to accept or decline booking inquiries of less than one week duration during peak months. Inquiries wanting to stay less than one week during peak times will be accepted as fill-in times between weekly (or longer) rentals. I will also consider 3 night stays as fillers as well.

I also encourage anyone to call me personally. We can always discuss lots more in person. (305) 720-5005

Excellent location, nice house, very responsive & kind host. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

We loved this rustic mountain lakefront cabin. Amazing view of Lake Glenville. You feel like the only home on the lake as you cannot see your neighbors thru the trees. If your a sports fan or just want to watch some TV this home's Direct TV is what you need. NO BUFFERING like so many mountain homes without Direct TV. Lisa is GREAT....on top of everything to insure you have a great experience. Highly recommend!!!!!

Our family had a wonderful time at this cozy, secluded cabin in a beautiful setting. Highlights included - the firepit and outside decks, comfortable furnishings, gorgeous views, and private location.

Cozy family cabin with main floor having a rustic feel with wood paneling and decor but with modern touches. Kitchen is small but stocked well. TV/Entertainment system worked very well for being in the mountains. Off the main floor, and down the deck stairs is the more modern master suite with its own deck (not optimal for us since we had a lot of rain during our stay and stairs to this level are not covered). Both decks are perfect for hanging out with wonderful views. Host is very helpful and gives you all the info you will need.

Much loved and cared for house on a pristine vantage point of Lake Glennville. Steep path to the lake, but unlike most properties, you get an amazing view from the two well appointed porches and do not need to go to the dock to see it. Very involved and invested property owner who personally assisted us above and beyond when an unexpected medical issue popped up. Unique layout as there is a large suite physically separate on another floor from the main 2 bedroom living area.

Stephen G.,
Our family of 4 stayed over Thanksgiving week and we have a fabulous time. The property is VERY secluded at the end of the road with a beautiful view of Lake Glenville. We enjoyed fires everyday in the fire pit, nice long cool walks, privacy galore. Would definitely enjoy returning! Thank you for sharing this special retreat!

We enjoyed this house very much - room for our family of adults to spread out. The fire pit patio is perfectly designed - had a lazy evening watching the sun go down and the clear sky. Having kayaks and a canoe ready on the dock to jump into made for fun without planning!! We fished from the dock too - a simple pleasure. We did rent a boat for tubing and also went zip lining for a fun day out. Highly recommend - the renter is totally accesible and wants you to have fun!!

The property was beautiful, Lisa was fantastic!

The house is one of the best properties I've ever rented for a vacation week in the USA. Perfect is just about every aspect. So tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable furniture, gorgeous decks with spectacular views of the lake, no close neighbors (you can see a house through the woods, but their dock is pretty far away so you still felt as if you were all alone on that part of the shoreline). The house/property was exactly as described, and although the pictures online make it look very inviting, they can't really do justice to the actual house/views. We appreciated everything, large and small: inviting and comfortable furniture on both decks, a baby gate that was perfect for keeping the dogs from running off while still giving them the "run" of both decks (bottom deck blocked off by two plastic chairs when we really didn't want to have to worry about them running off to chase some animal in the woods). Communication with the owner could not have been easier. We'll be back :-)

Beautiful retreat! Really enjoyed staying here. House was very clean, easy to access and lots of room! Enjoyed the fireplaces for some warmth with a cup of coffee.

Best properties I've ever rented for a vacation

Have had the opportunity to stay at each property. Each is different with individual characteristics but all three have one thing in common - beautiful Lake Glenville. From the coxy interior decor to the beautiful outdoor decks you can relax and get lost in the mountains. Bring a good book to read and comfortable walking shoes to explore the many hikes available in the area. The host (Lisa) is absolutely divine and makes you feel so welcomed. Definitely recommend each properly.
